About Cris Coloni
Hi, I’m Cris Coloni. I’m a Brazilian-born artist based in the United States.
I’ve spent most of my life creating art while running twenty tabs open side by side.
My path hasn’t been linear. I’ve worked, studied, raised children, survived chaos, and returned to art repeatedly. Over time, creation stopped being something I did and became how I process the world.
My work takes many forms. Some pieces become paintings. Some become comics. Some become physical objects. Some become things people can carry with them.
The Unicorn Punch is not separate from me. It is my voice, my witness, and the character that allows me to tell the truth sideways.
Artist Statement
I don't make art because I am disciplined. I make art because my brain gets full, and creating is how I empty it without destroying myself.
My work isn't about perfection. It's about extraction. I move things out of my mind and into physical form before they calcify.
Everything I create exists in motion. Comics document moments. Objects preserve emotional states. Images capture fragments of internal weather.
You don't have to understand my work. If you feel something, it worked.
